Jeunes Restaurateurs (JRE) is an association of young restaurateurs who want to share their talent and passion for food with likeminded people.
Founded in 1974 in France, there are now 350 affiliated restaurants spread over 16 countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. With over 180 Michelin stars and 4,000 Gault&Millau points between them, all chefs combine a love of creativity and innovation with a respect for local produce and tradition.
Membership of JRE is open to young restaurant owners up to the age of 42. Members who have reached the age of 50 are classified as “Table d’Honneur”. When members turn 55, they are classified as “Membre d’Honneur’.
